POEA Recruitment Agencies for working in Canada (June 2020)

Looking for a job in Canada? In the Philippines, there’s only one safe place to look: the official website of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). Among POEA’s many responsibilities is licensing placement agencies who look for workers on behalf of foreign employers. Are you looking for a recruitment agency that has jobs in Canada? Here are all the recruitment agencies for Canada licensed by POEA.

Canada remains a destination of choice for many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and for good reason. The Government of Canada‘s Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) allows Canadian employers to hire foreign workers to help address acute labour shortages in specific industries.

CANADA IS A NO PLACEMENT FEE COUNTRY
Before you start looking for a job in Canada, you should keep in mind that Canada is a No Placement Fee country. That means, unlike many other popular destinations for OFWs, recruitment agencies for Canada are NOT allowed to collect placement fees for jobs in Canada.

If you are charged a placement fee, or if you are asked to make a payment without being issued a receipt, report the recruitment agency to POEA immediately.

Canadian employers are required to shoulder the costs associated with the recruitment of OFWs, including airfare and placement fees.
